Ive never used tegaki, but from what I know of it, it's a fairly basic programme isn't it? That being the case (and even if it's not the case), how on earth did you get such a rich, traditional painted/oil pastel effect with it?!

It's beautifully coloured, and I really like the composition. It- like the colour, has got this great, traditional charm to it :3

It's quite similar to oekaki, you should try it sometime! Everyone on the site is quite friendly, and there's tons of great artists on it :) It's "tegakie.com" in case you are interested.

To get this effect, I started out with a colored base color, then use a small brush on semi-high opacity (the opacity bar shows up as a tiny grey scale--I specifically worked with the 5th or 4th from the left).
